Rocco's Blog 8/10
In Austin we:
saved a baby
witnessed the dark sermon of Bob Dylan
played everyday and night
Fell in love with music again
watched the sun come up every morning
sweated
the Austin sun
swam in the eerily cold water of Barton Springs
broke into swimming holes
encountered the incredible forward thinking, radical, vinyl spinning souls at Justine's
(thank you Pierre, Justine, Jardine, and everyone else, this trip is impossible without you)
thanks to the Pub
lived in a 1950's Spartan trailer for a week
documented with tape recorder and A1
camera
Now tripping back to Los Angeles on a twenty-three hour non-stop burn-
The pacific awaits- We look forward to playing a couple of residencies from the south to the north (times and locations to be revealed soon)
Field recording experiments and folk shows in Europe are hopeful if all comes together- reaching out to friendly's now!
Bless,
rocco

Still got that student loan, you know....
You're uplifting, Mr DeLuca, even when I can't hear the music!
Hugs from across the pond
pulling you over here.
Kate
your blogs are always so inspiring to improve my English, it hurts. "dark sermon"..hmm...must think about this. As for hopping over the pond, pls remember your own words: "we need to be efficient (very German, lol), let's stay in touch". So.....feel free to do so anytime. ;-))
Luv from Berlin.
Lovely musical words. Sounds like TX agrees with you! I wish north meant Oregon ;)I'll never stop hoping...
It was a joy to see you at the Saxon Pub. Please make it a regular gig once or twice a year!
Jon
I am really hopeful that you will be coming to London sometime - I haven't had a decent night out since my son was born 15 months ago, but would definitely make the effort to see another of your shows.
Might I say you have a wonderfully intoxicating voice... Best to your trips
